Since this build is inflicting heavy bleeds with Lacerate, we can incorporate the underutilized Bloodlust Support gem to add even more potency to your Warchief. Other links are relatively flexible, but we like to use Vaal Ancestral Warchief to pump out some extra burst whenever needed. The Pride aura is also used to debuff nearby enemies and boost our Physical damage far above what it would be by default. The auras we run are Blood and Sand, which is essential to virtually all Gladiator builds, and transforms Lacerate into a far more potent and flexible skill, as well as Flesh and Stone for greater defenses. It works perfectly fine with both 1-Handed and 2-Handed weapons, but we prefer 1-Handed axes by default. Lacerate is our main skill and the only 6-Link necessary to incorporate into the build. We recommend leveling as Dual Wield with a little more emphasis on the early Axe nodes, which you can respec out of later on in favor of more bleed damage, defense, and utility. Jewel sockets should be among your latter priorities, but can be acquired earlier if you have very high quality Jewels ready for use in advance. Impale chance and effect are “icing on the cake” style nodes, and pair nicely with crafted axes that also have chance to impale.

This will boost your single target damage immensely while in Blood stance, and help you take full advantage of your Ascendancy keystones. Start acquiring the Bleed focused nodes next, not picking up Crimson Dance until you have a fair chance to bleed on Lacerate and high attack speed. Bleeding ticks cannot deal Critical Strikes, which makes this keystone even more well suited to this build than most. The most essential keystone is Resolute Technique, which offers a large boost in damage.

This is our recommended Level 94 Passive Skill Tree. If you are encountering errors importing the build, please ensure you are using the Community Fork. We use the Path of Building Community Fork for all of our builds, which is highly recommended. For simplicity’s sake, Elemental Resistances are not included on gear, and you can fill them in as you like depending on available gear. Included in the Path of Building are skill trees, all gem links and possible variations, and an example set of mid-level gear with room for upgrades.
